The Coop has an opening for a Commodity Marketing Specialist at the Pigeon business office. This person will be responsible for promoting company grain & dry bean programs and assisting customers in developing marketing strategies through office and on-farm interactions.

Job Responsibilities:

Provides excellent customer service

Provides up to date grain and dry bean marketing information to patrons

Assist patrons in marketing grain and dry beans with contracts, pools and cash sales.

On farm grower visits to maintain current relationships and develop new ones.

Assists with daily hedging activities

Co-manage corn and soybean marketing pools

Assist with company sustainability programs
-
Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
Education and Experience:
-
Bachelor’s degree in agriculture or business-related field with a minimum of one-year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Sales or grain/agronomy experience preferred.

A valid driver’s license.
