We are looking for a qualified individual to assist in all areas of the Sebewaing plant – to receive, process, grade, and ship grain &/or dry beans, and to distribute fertilizer/chemical/seed.  This person will also load/unload trucks and rail cars; assist with recordkeeping, housekeeping, and preventative maintenance, etc.  Flexibility is key!
Customer service and computer skills a must; a CDL with the proper endorsements required.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provides prompt, efficient, and professional service to customers (internal and/or external). Clearly and courteously communicates with customers promoting a positive company image at all times.
  • Receives, ships, and grades grains following established procedures that maintain a high quality product.
  • Blends fertilizer by operating dry fertilizer blending equipment.
  • Assists in inventory control responsibilities.
  • Maintains and cleans all grain & fertilizer plant equipment. Maintains cleanliness of work area, shop area and facility.
  • Assists in maintaining housekeeping and maintenance records and other administrative functions as requested.
  • Records all appropriate documentation and test results necessary to maintain all current certification standards and comply with all regulatory requirements.
  • Drives fertilizer tender as needed.
  • Unloads trucks and/or train cars of fertilizer.
  • Participates in all procedure and safety training as assigned. Follows all job and safety procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements and established company safety policies and standards.
  • Attends and participates in meetings as appropriated.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

High School or GED; some field experience preferred; a valid driver’s license and CDL with endorsements.
