This role will have a visible and engaged operational presence, advising our team on measures to minimize hazards and maintain a safe working environment. This is essential to build trust and drive a strong safety culture, further enhancing and expanding our safety programs to meet future needs.
Job Responsibilities
Coordinates company safety and injury prevention programs and training.
Investigates workplace incidents, accidents and injuries
Conducts safety & facility audits
Conducts Job Safety Analysis for various roles at the Coop
Advises and instructs on various safety related topics, i.e. Confined Space, Lockout/Tagout, Forklift, etc.
Prepares and submits company and regulatory reports as directed
Education and Experience
Excellent customer service & communication skills
Proficient with technology (computer and smart phone application skills, etc.)
Organizational skills and attention to detail
Experience working in safety plus knowledge of regulatory requirements in the agriculture industry
Associates degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Emergency response training/certification is also a plus.
Valid drivers license required; CDL helpful
